Weave Me in the Smokies

The Tennessee Basketry Association's 2009 Convention

was held July 22-25 at the Knoxville Airport Hilton.  We

celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Great Smoky

Mountains National Park!

Cathey Purvey, Kathy Thrash, Martha Reece and Ginger Sermons

enjoyed the Tennessee hospitality and came home with a

variety of super projects.

Cathey and Kathy are so-o-o pleased with Dianne Gleixner's Nantucket Basket with Tapestry Weave.

Martha is starting Jill Choate's African Tower.                       Another Choate tower, but woven with flat reed.

                     Ginger has only to put the finishing edge.

               Sandy Bulgrin uses color coding for 7 step caning.

                        This was incredibly easy to follow.
