posted. We are still accepting suggestions and will be
looking for interesting projects
at NCBA Convention in March.
At the
rainy
January meeting, Barbara, Mary S.and Mary W. worked on the base and sides of
"Hannah's Basket". Bobbie worked on an "Olive"
jar and Ginger
had a waxed linen project.
We welcomed
Richard as a guest and hopefully
new member. Richard came to Hickory from Houston, TX.

CVBA donated funds to fill five 2
gallon size survival kits to Haiti's Relief. Northminster
Presbyterian Church will include them in their shipment. CVBA--what

>About Us< The Catawba Valley Basketmakers meet on the 4th Sunday of the month at Allen Frye Clubhouse, (between Conover & Hickory). We welcome those who have an interest in the art of basket making and have knowledge of and experience with basic basket making skills. Our active, welcoming weavers make all who visit want to come again. We meet for fellowship, sharing and weaving. We have had more than a half dozen professional teachers in our guild and we take advantage of their knowledge and skills.
